Prayer Meetings

We believe in the God who looks upon us with infinite mercy and whose ears are open to the cries of His children. He not only hears our prayers, but also is able, more than able, to deliver us from the depth of our troubles and transform our hearts to be more like that of Christ.

We also believe that prayer is the soul of ministry. Without prayer, our ministry degenerates into mere human activities, no matter how successful we are. As a church, we need to come humbly before God and seek His face so that His will may be done in our ministry. Prayer is the most important ministry activity in First Baptist Peddie Memorial Church.

Come pray together in the presence of our God in any of the weekly prayer meetings listed below. Also, if you have any prayer request, do not hesitate to send us your request through email. Please be assured that our brothers and sisters will pray for you.

Wednesday Evenings 7:30-9 pm
We invite you to a time of singing hymns and praise songs, teaching from the Scripture, praying together in groups for personal, communal, and global needs. This is also a precious opportunity to share our lives with the brothers and sisters who are without home and pray for their needs and longings.

For a meditation on Wednesday Prayer Meeting, see Ministry with the Homeless.

Saturday Mornings 10-12 am in the North Parlor
Come join our brothers and sisters praying together for one another, for the church, and for the world. All are welcome and encouraged to attend. We meet in the North Parlor at 10 am on Saturday.

Sunday Mornings 9:30 am
This is a wonderful opportunity to prepare our hearts for Sunday worship, praying not only for our personal needs but also for our worship service in order that our worship may please God and glorify His Name.
